Feel your energy dip in the afternoon or early evening? Second Wind gives you a boost to help you push through the rest of your day, without needing caffeine.
It pairs a deep house mix with isochronic tones, simple pulses of sound played at a steady rhythm. Your brain naturally tries to keep pace with that rhythm, so as the pulses speed up, your alertness tends to rise with them.
Good for:
- Powering through an afternoon slump
- Staying alert and focused into the evening
- A caffeine-free way to keep going when you’re flagging
How it works
- The track opens with a quick 6-minute ramp, climbing from 12Hz up to 17Hz to get you into an alert state fast.
- From there, it settles into a repeating cycle, moving gently between 16Hz and 18Hz, to keep your energy steady for the rest of the session.
How to listen
- Headphones aren’t required.
- Play at a comfortable volume, loud enough to notice the pulses without it being uncomfortable.
About my process
I build every track using isochronic tones combined with music that carries its own amplitude-entrainment effects, both working toward the same goal.
This is based on small-scale research into focus and increased alertness, plus what I’ve learned from thousands of conversations with listeners since I started in 2006. The effects are claimed to be temporary, fading once you stop listening.
