What it’s for
For those times you need fresh ideas or a new way of looking at a problem. Good for brainstorming, creative work, or anything open-ended where you want your mind to feel relaxed and open rather than narrowly focused.
How it works
This session uses isochronic tones (evenly spaced pulses of sound that help guide your brainwaves into a steady rhythm), set up so each ear receives a different frequency.
- Designed to encourage relaxed, associative activity in the right side of the brain, which is more linked with creativity and big-picture thinking.
- Over each 12-minute cycle, the tone in your left ear moves between 10Hz and 12Hz, while the tone in your right ear moves between 8Hz and 10Hz. That gentle rise and fall repeats throughout the track, keeping your mind in an open, relaxed state suited to creative problem-solving.
Listening instructions
- Headphones are required for this one. Since each ear gets a different frequency, the effect only works properly with headphones or earbuds.
- Keep the volume at a comfortable level, clear enough to hear the tones without it ever feeling too loud.
- This session is intended for general cognitive and creative support, not medical treatment. Don’t listen while driving or operating machinery.
About my process
I build every track using isochronic tones combined with music that carries its own amplitude-entrainment effects, both working toward the same goal.
This is based on small-scale research into focus, plus what I’ve learned from thousands of conversations with listeners since I started in 2006. The effects are claimed to be temporary, fading once you stop listening.
